Today I will be reviewing another favorite from Generation Beauty San Francisco 2017 – the trèStiQue Tint, Moisturize, Blend Face Stick. I first learned of trèStiQue and their multitasking products during Generation Beauty 2015. Then, I purchased their Matte Color & Shiny Balm Lip Crayon which is a permanent resident in my purse. Considering my love for everything travel and user friendly, it’s no surprise that their face stick is now the latest staple in my makeup bag!

Phenyl Trimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Titanium Dioxide, Polyethylene, Polysilicone-11, Mica, Dimethicone, Octyldodecanol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Triisodecyl Trimellitate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, Laureth-12, Silica, Bht, Gardenia Tahitensis Flower, Tocopherol +/- (May Contain): Ci 77491/Ci 77492/Ci 77499/Iron Oxides, Ci 77007/Ultramarines.
While I was initially concerned about adding coconut oil to my already oily skin, I haven’t had any issues with breakouts. I’ve noticed that my skin does get slightly oilier by the end of the day, but it could be from the warmer summer weather. It’s nothing that a little blotting won’t fix. I may try some primer or pressed powder to see if it helps combat this. On the bright side, I’ve noticed that my face is a lot softer after washing it at night!
The trèStiQue Tint, Moisturize, Blend Face Stick is a lightweight tinted moisturizer in solid form. It comes in adorable yet multi-functional pencil-shaped packaging, with one side being the product and the other a blending sponge. A magnetic cap protects the product from spillage and seals with a satisfying click.
The makeup stick itself is essentially a giant retractable pencil for your face. In the morning, I basically just use it to draw a bunch of lines on my face and blend with my fingers. Overall, the process is super easy and takes about 30 seconds tops. This is perfect considering I typically choose sleeping in over wearing makeup most days.
In terms of coverage, I’d describe it as super sheer to medium. It’s perfect for making your face more even, but I’d avoid applying more than 2-3 layers. trèStiQue does sell a concealer for those needing to cover up blemishes and dark eye circles.
As for formulation, I’ve never had any issues with the product sweating off or bleeding during the day. Moreover, this is one of the few foundations I know of that doesn’t oxidize on my face! This is huge for me because in the past I would have to buy foundations several shades lighter in anticipation of oxidation or skip wearing foundation all-together. Knowing that a foundation won’t darken or turn orange on my face is reason enough to buy and keep buying!
At Generation Beauty, I was matched to shade number 3 (Tulum Nude). I typically try to match foundation shades to my neck to avoid exacerbating the delineation between my pale neck and tan face. While is shade it slightly darker than I would buy, it’s sheer enough that I can get away with it. My plan is to buy the next lightest yellow-based shade (Cape Code) and use both for a closer color match.
trèStiQue Tint, Moisturize, Blend Face Stick: Final Thoughts
After using this face stick for a few days, I plan on buying another in a lighter shade and trying out other makeup in trèStiQue’s line. The portability, 30 second application process, and non-oxidizing formula are all winners in my book! Can’t wait to see what else trèStiQue’s has to offer!
